3D laser scanning has proven extremely effective in producing highly accurate, detailed, and efficient geospatial information for roadways, bridges, and other civil engineering projects. Our terrestrial laser scanner is ideal for such projects by utilizing the rapid long range measurement capabilities and 5mm accuracy.
The combination of multiple scan positions generates a geo-referenced pointcloud containing all visually detectable features. The pointcloud is mined to extract topographic surfaces, assets and dimensions in the form of standard 2D mapping or 3D CAD models. Field time is significantly reduced compared to traditional methods while capturing reusable data for possible future projects. The immense data point collection also facilitates deformation studies such as road condition analysis or surface monitoring.
